Invisalign® is a series of clear, plastic, custom-made aligner trays that fit over your teeth and gently and gradually move your teeth into the desired position over time. These nearly invisible aligners are custom-created for each patient, and therefore fit the teeth perfectly to meet each patient’s specific requirements. Invisalign® trays are secured in place by the shape of the mouth and tiny tooth-coloured attachments that are fixed to specific teeth. These attachments help the trays apply small amounts of direct pressure to certain areas of the mouth in order to create the desired result. Invisalign® trays are removable, making them more comfortable for regular activities such as eating, drinking and oral care.

Although treatment times vary, most Invisalign® treatment lasts 9-15 months. For best results, it is recommended that patients wear their aligners for 20-22 hours a day.
